Hello, it's me again, Desi. So close to the end of the year, and finally I came back for the last blog posts for 2017. Banzai for my laziness!
Never have I thought there will come the time when me, a girl who couldn't care enough of and know nothing at all about makeup, will turn into a girl who kinda obsessed with makeups. This unexpected turn of table started with the moment when I was stressed while doing my bachelor thesis, I relieved my cluttered mind by online shopping. Before I noticed, my lip tints/lip creams/lip sticks, eyeliners has piling up, and now I am focusing my shopping spree to eye palettes, and makeup brushes. I need help tbh
Before I buy those makeups, I was always in a situation where I really need good swatches online for my references. So after all this time, finally I think this is the time for me to do swatches. I really hope these swatches will help everyone who needs it and I'll try to add some reviews from me as well.
I'll only do eye palettes' arm swatches for now. These products are actually really good and I want people to know this! I'll show my swatches of Wet n Wild Au Naturel eye palette in Nude Awakening, Etude House Play Color Eyes palette in Wine Party, and Cherry Blossom. I'll divide this post into three parts since it'll be too long of a post if I tried to squeeze it into one post.
Etude House Play Color Eyes: Wine Party
First of all, I bought the Wine Party about two weeks ago and have tested it repeatedly on my eyelids. Using wine-themed colors, it focused on burgundy colors it adds elegancy and maturity feels (lol) to the eyes. Unexpectedly, this palettes' colors are opaque and pretty on the eyes. I've always thought that Korean makeup are mostly focused on sheer colors, but Etude is not playing around. There are 4 matte, 4 shimmering, and 2 glitter palettes. In my opinion, they did a great job on the matte and shimmering ones although they're pretty dusty, but the glitter ones are really hard to use, you will need to use some spray on your brush, or if you're using your fingertip, you'll need to gouge it a bit to get to the product. Once you get enough product of the glittery shadow, they're really cute on the eyes. I'll try to show the swatches both on natural lighting and below lamp lighting.

lol I was really gouging into the 9th shade I'm not even kidding. |
Here it is, my swatches and review of this product, I hope this will helpful in some way. Don't take out my photos without credits.
I'll now briefly sum it all, the matte colors are great although a bit dusty not much fallout. Blend nicely, as long as your eyelids are dry and nice the shadows will stay put. The shimmering shadows are really beautiful and opaque, dusty as well. Glitter shadows are so hard to get especially using brush, just use your fingertips to apply it but they're shining beautifully once applied. The mirror is nice and wide, the packaging is sleek and have a nice weight. Looks fancy, and compact so it's easy to bring it everywhere in your pouch. Overall, this is a really nice product, recommended. Five out of five eyes from me.
I'll be back for part 2 Wet n Wild Au Naturel: Nude Awakening, and part 3 Etude House Play Color Eyes: Cherry Blossom if I'm not lazy
Ciao!
